About
The department has a rich legacy dating back to 1946 when it first embarked on its academic journey, offering General courses only. In 1960, Honours course was introduced. At present the department offers B.A. & B.Sc. (Honours/Major) in Economics and B.A. (Program / Multidisciplinary) courses in arts under CBCS curriculum.
Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, the department aims to equip students with the skills and insights necessary to succeed in an ever-changing global economy. Dedicated faculty members of the department strive to create a stimulating academic environment that encourages critical thinking and intellectual exploration among the students.
