This department was established in 2002 and offers Honours course in Microbiology till date. It has a well equipped laboratory and a dedicated bunch of teaching and non-teaching staffs. The alumni have successfully spread themselves throughout the nation and beyond; many establishing in various facets in the field of Microbiology including research, teaching, industry etc and some also exploring other spectrums of jobs, for example, in Government and Private sectors. Even those who are still struggling for a better prospect, this department always tend to provide them with every bit of useful information, even after completion of their courses. To serve the purpose, the department has started arranging different sorts of online counselling sessions, with several other plans to be executed in near future. During the Covid pandemic's lockdown period, when the government imposed online mode, we can proudly report that the Microbiology department immediately adapted to it having online class attendance of almost 99.9% throughout, as we have been into practicing audio-visual teaching mode since 2014. Lastly, as a large, unified, and close-knit family, our mission has always been to deliver guidance and inspiration to every student in order to assist them achieve tremendous heights.
