About

Established in 2003, the Department of Microbiology has grown from a small Honours programme into a vibrant academic unit offering Honours, Major, Minor, IDC, and MDC courses under the CBCS and FYUGP curriculum. With a dedicated team of faculty members, the department provides a student-centric learning environment through mentoring sessions, seminars, invited lectures, industrial visits, and project-based learning. Well-equipped laboratory facilities support hands-on training in microbiology, molecular biology, microscopy, and analytical techniques. Students are encouraged to participate in internships, research projects, and skill-development activities that enhance their academic and professional growth. Over the years, the department has produced successful graduates who have excelled in higher education, research, industry, and public service.
