The Department of Philosophy was established in 1945 with a vision to foster critical thinking , ethical reflection and a deeper understanding of human existence. Since its inception the department has been commited to imparting quality education in Philosophy, encouraging student to engage with both classical and contemporary philosophical debates.
Our curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of indian and western philosophical traditions, logic, ethics and emerging areas such as feminist philosophy. philosophy of religion . We aim to cultivate analytical skills , moral sensivity and intellectual curiosity among students preparing them for diverse academic and professional pursuits.
With a dedicated faculty and dynamic academic environment the Department of Philosophy continues to inspire students to question , reason and contribute meaningfully to society .
